What is a dental abscess?

How to deal with an abscess?

See the dentist immediately:
It’s urgent and needs immediate treatment.
Treat the infection:
The dentist will likely prescribe antibiotics.
Drain the abscess:
The dentist may make a small cut to drain the pus.
Treat the tooth:
If it’s from decay, it might need a root canal or extraction.
Pain relief:
